This program is held on an indoor cycling bike. There is no fee to attend and you do not need to be a YMCA member, but registration is required. Participants have reported a 35% improvement in the quality of their life when taking this class. Motor symptoms have improved 10% in just eight weeks of pedaling. There is no charge to our community or members to participate in this program. You are encouraged to wear comfortable close, no loose pant legs and please bring a water bottle. No previous workout experience is necessary. Classes are unavailable at this time.

This is an evidence-based lifestyle change program for adults diagnosed with pre-diabetes or a high risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Proven to help people lose weight and prevent or delay onset type 2 diabetes. DPP is now offering on-line modules in addition to live class.
These modules will help encourage, reinforce information learned in class and provide tailored support. CLICK HERE.
When you join a lifestyle change program, you’ll learn, laugh, share stories, try new things, and build new habits—all while lowering your risk of type 2 diabetes and improving your health.
PROGRAM OFFERED:
A 26 week, 1 hour class
Weeks 1 - 16: One time per week
Weeks 17-26: Every other week:
The Y and the LIVESTRONG Foundation have joined together to create LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a researched-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals. Work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve your goals such as building muscle mass and strength, increasing flexibility and endurance, and improving confidence and self-esteem. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.
PROGRAM OFFERED: Twice a week for 12 weeks at 60-90 minutes each session.
