Recovery Through Connection

LiveSTRONG® at the YMCA is a free, 12-week small-group fitness and support program designed specifically for adult cancer survivors. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, in treatment, or long into survivorship, this program offers a safe, welcoming space to rebuild strength, boost confidence, and connect with others on similar journeys.

Led by certified instructors trained in cancer recovery support, sessions include cardiovascular training, strength conditioning, balance, and flexibility. More than just exercise, this is about reclaiming your whole self—physically, emotionally, and socially.

Our Mission

LiveSTRONG at the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA equips those living with, through, or beyond cancer to get back on their feet and connect with other survivors. Participants work with YMCA staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building muscle mass and strength, increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. In addition, staff are trained in cancer survivorship, post-rehabilitation exercise, and supportive cancer care.

We focus on the WHOLE person not just the disease, helping our participants to LiveSTRONG.

This program is 100% free for participants in addition to a 3-month family membership made possible by donations and support through the YMCA Annual Campaign.
