The Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA was granted funds this year to help bridge a gap for people in our community who are in need of fresh & HEALTHY food.

Every Friday from April 30th- August 27th, you’ll see staff & volunteers on the corner of west drive and 14th ave. There they are handing out FREE produce boxes to anyone and everyone in the surrounding communities.

Each box prepared by Jack’s Fresh Market- Marinette & Menominee holds more than produce, they each hold a unique story. Some boxes are single mothers who are busy working 2 jobs and have minimal time to buy healthy food for their families. Some are community members who are trying to eat  healthier, and improve their lifestyle. Some are struggling with income and the box provides a form of stability and no worries about the next couple of meals. Some are used to experiment with cooking with their families. While others are boxes that are being shared with parts of the community who aren’t able come and get one themselves.

No matter the reason, these boxes help us at the YMCA create an impact in places where its needed most.

Our mission is to create impact. Our mission is to give back. Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that create healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Our mission is bigger than boxes.
