CORPORATE CHALLENGE | September 21-25
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
After a 5-year break, the Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA is bringing back Corporate Challenge, a high-energy, 4-day health and wellness event for local businesses and organizations! From September 21–25, teams will face off in 15 events, all while supporting the Y’s mission through our Annual Campaign.
More than just competition, Corporate Challenge promotes employee wellness, builds community spirit, and boosts company morale.
How it works:
- Companies field one team per event
- Scores are awarded based on placement in the event
- Teams can include employees, employees’ spouse/partner, and employees’ children (18+)
- Smaller companies can join forces to create a team
- An individual can only compete for one company/team the entire week of competition
- The $800 Entry Fee covers your company’s participation in all the events. (Available to be paid by card, check, or invoice)
Rally your team, claim your bragging rights, and make a difference in our community!
Financially supporting the YMCA’s Annual Campaign helps support the ability to offer programming in our communities that is not fully covered financially, but is important to offer – we call these programs Mission Based programs:
Support raised for the Annual Campaign financially supports the following:
- Mobile Food Pantry – In 2024 we served 3,000+ households through the Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry. Every other month, the YMCA sponsors a mobile food pantry for the community. The Marinette Salvation Army sponsors the opposite months, with every month being held at the Y. Both the YMCA and the Salvation Army financially help support these mobile food pantries to fill the financial gap not supported by grant funding.
- Financial Assistance for Programs and Memberships – In 2024 we provided $87,788 in financial assistance to ensure access for everyone.
- Programs – In 2024 we had 4,000+ program registrations – adults, youth, families participating in free and paid programs offered.
- Safe Place to go – In 2024 we had 200,000 visits to our YMCA
The YMCA’s Annual Campaign is like a big team project where people give money to help others.
Some families can’t afford things like swim lessons, summer camp, or going to the Y to play and stay healthy. The money from the campaign helps those families so everyone can have fun, be safe, and grow stronger—no matter how much money they have.
It’s a way our whole community works together to help kids, grown-ups, and even grandparents have a place to learn, play, and feel welcome.
