Meet the Scott and Beres Family
These friends have grown their friendship outside the Y, and through the Y. The amount of positive things they had to say about the Y and their experience was overwhelming. We had so many laughs during the time I spent with them at the Y to hear their stories of why they choose to donate.
Deb Clausen (YMCA Board Member) is Augie and Susan’s daughter, and was a huge influence on them becoming members of the Y. Susan started coming first and attended a water fitness class with Deb and loved it. Then Augie followed when he was looking for a place to continue swimming laps.

Ginny and Jerry started coming when they moved into town it was a great place to meet people being newer to the area. Ginny participated in Y-Walk classes, and Jerry participated in Tai-chai.
Amongst the laughter, thoughts they shared –
The Scott Family – “If you want to have an uplifting experience and energize your body at the same time, go to the Y! Join the Y! We donate so others can enjoy to!”
The Beres Family – “We feel a sense of community, part of a family. It’s fun to exercise with others who have become such good Y friends. There is something for everyone. A variety of classes and safe facility for kids and adults. Friendly and a great place to socialize and make friends”.
When I shared the statement the Y is for everyone “Pampers to Grampers” both families had a good laugh and agreed.
Overall both families agreed the Y is such a great place to be.
Augie, Sue, Ginny, and Jerry have been supporters of our annual campaign for quite a few years, and are great Y advocates in and outside our walls. Augie and Sue use the pool, while Ginny attends fitness classes and Jerry comes for the coffee and laughs ….. and the wellness center.
Thanks Augie, Sue, Ginny and Jerry for believing in our cause!
The Beres and Scott Families chose to donate to the Y would you consider donating also?
