YMCA DAY OF GIVING began in the Northwest North Carolina Y in 2015 as a one-day, all hands on deck, hyper focused campaign effort that engaged staff at all levels, engaged volunteers, and acted as a final push for branches toward their Annual Campaign goals.By 2018, YMCA Day of Giving had spread to Texas, engaging the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in it’s first year, and including YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth and the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA for a DFW metroplex-wide campaign in 2019.2020 marked the launch of a nationwide partnership with over 25 YMCA Associations celebrating this one-day giving effort. Whether it’s in our individual communities or across the country, we recognize that we are all stronger when we work together. In 2021, we’re hopefully that even more YMCAs will take part to help support their local communities and the millions of families impacted by COVID-19
